For this project I plan to visit a residential home for people suffering from mental illnesses. I have contacted Victoria Lloyd, who is a heath care assistant about me coming to visit and being able to speak to both patients and nurses. 

I have also started a thread on the www.psychforums.com/ forum, explaining my project and asking how their mental illnesses effects and changes their day to day lives. 

I am going to be talking to the mental heath officer at the university of Winchester and a local doctor to gain their professional opinion about diagnosing a mental illness.
